Catherine M. (Barnes) Cozadd

Nacogdoches, TX- Mrs. Catherine Mae (Barnes) Cozadd passed away peacefully Friday morning August 25th, 2017 at The Arbor Assisted Living and Memory Care in Nacogdoches, Texas. 

She was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She was the last surviving member of her family of origin.  Born March 20, 1923 in Sharon, PA, she was the youngest of three children.  She grew up in Sharon and married her childhood sweetheart, Clyde Cozadd, during the time of WWII.  Post war, the couple took up residence in Canton, Ohio where they had two children, Connie Lou and David Lee.  The family lived for a number of years in Broomfield, Colorado before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1966. 

Catherine was preceded in death by husband Clyde and daughter Connie.  

She is survived by her son David and his wife Amy Nixdorf and grandchildren Erik Cozadd, Elaine Horner, and Wendy Gerstenkorn. Her great grandchildren Ava Cozadd, Mark & Emily Horner and Evan & Van Gerstenkorn. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday afternoon September 8, 2017 at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Jefferson Township, PA.
