WEST MIDDLESEX-Carl Douglas Fette Jr., age 91, of West Middlesex, Pa., passed away on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2026 at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. He was born on May 18, 1935 to Carl Fette and Tilda Mae (Kloss) Fette. Carl was a 1953 graduate from Hickory Highschool.
Following graduation, he served in the Army and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a supervisor for GM Lordstown until his retirement. Carl was an avid fisherman and boater, spending many hours on Lake Erie, one of his favorite places. He was a member and past Grand Master of the Free Masons both in Pennsylvania and then Florida, having lived there for 20 years before returning home. Carl was also a member and former president of The Hidden Valley Sportsmen’s Club of West Middlesex, as he was also an avid hunter. He spent many years traveling with his beloved wife and beloved dog Ellie Mae, in their camper, seeing most of the states.
Carl is survived by his wife Anna Fette, his brother, Clarence “Harry” (Liz) Fette of Hubbard, Oh., and his sister, Myrna (the late Robert) Hinkson of New Wilmington, Pa. His children Doug Fette, of Brookfield Oh., Crystal Fette Davis, of Girard, Oh., and Carl (Susan) Fette of New Bedford Pa., Stepchildren Keith (Ginger) Sauer of Mishawaka, In., Sheri (the late David) McClurg of Mishawaka, In., and James “Pat” (Sherry) of South Bend, In. His grandchildren, Chad (Laura) Fette, Josh (Alysa) Fette, Roscoe Fette, Marlaina “Lainie” Fette, Amber Davis, Shawn Davis, Rose Fette and Grace Fette. Step-grandchildren, Justin (Shawna) Sauer, Aubrey Jannings, Kalee Sauer, Stephani Ventura, Nicole McClurg, Travis McClurg, Josh (Ashely) Sauer, Chelsea (Nick) Glanders, Matthew (Robyn) Rogers, Jessica Rogers and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his second wife Rose Fette, and his stepson Joe Sauer.
He was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home at 555 E State St. Sharon, PA 16146.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
