Richard L. Shipton III

SHARON – Richard L. Shipton III, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning December 26, 2025 in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Youngstown, OH on October 26, 1949, the son of the late Richard L. Shipton Sr. and Bonnie (Pickens) Shipton.

Richard enlisted in the Navy in August of 1969 and served until May of 1971. He received an Honorable Discharge having attained the rank of E3 serving as a Damage Control Fireman.

He was employed as a truck driver prior to his retirement.

Surviving are his daughters Kimberly Shipton of Lakeland, FL and Jennette Shipton of Youngstown, OH, along with his 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as his longtime companion Bonnie Blough of Sharon, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Donna Mae Allan and by his parents.
