Obituary

MIAMI SHORES-Wilda Grace Womer was born February 25, 1927 in Sharon, Pennsylvania the daughter of Norman F. Womer and Ethel Colton Womer. Miss Womer graduated from Brookfield High School in Brookfield, OH, Youngstown State University and earned an MBA in the Executive MBA program at the University of Pittsburgh.

Miss Womer was employed for over 39 years by the former Sharon Steel Corporation and NVF Company, relocating to their Florida offices in 1984. A retired CPA, she continued memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Women's Society of CPA's, Florida Institute of CPA's, and Ohio Society of CPA's.

A life-long member of the Presbyterian Church, originally at First Presbyterian Church of Sharon, Pennsylvania and subsequently transferring to Miami Shores Presbyterian Church in 1985, Miss Womer has served the churches as a Trustee, an ordained Elder, volunteer Business Manager at MSPC, and enjoyed singing in the senior church choirs.

Miss Womer was blessed with a loving and caring family, including her parents, Norman and Ethel, brother Ted, sister Doris, two nieces, three nephews, their children and grandchildren. For many years, she raised and showed prize-winning Shetland ponies. She also enjoyed visiting with many long-time friends, cooking and gardening.

Interment will be at a private service in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, Pennsylvania with her family. Memorial gifts can be made to the Presbyterian Church in your location or charity of choice.
